The 9800X3D is an 8-core, 16-thread chip with AMD’s second-generation 3D V-Cache stacked on top — 96MB of L3 that games absolutely love….
These two are built for completely different buyers. The 9800X3D is an 8-core, 16-thread gaming-focused chip with AMD’s second-generation 3D V-Cache stacked on top — 96MB of L3 cache that games absolutely love. The 14900K is a 24-core, 32-thread hybrid monster — 8 performance cores with hyper-threading, 16 efficiency cores — built for raw multi-threaded…
Intel Core i7-12700K vs AMD Ryzen 7 7700X This is a cross-generation fight — Intel’s Alder Lake upper-mid from late 2021 against AMD’s Zen 4 upper-mid from late 2022. The 12700K is a 12-core hybrid — 8 performance cores with hyper-threading and 4 efficiency cores, 20 threads total. The 7700X is an 8-core, 16-thread Zen…
AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D vs Intel Core i5-12600K This is a cross-generation, cross-platform fight between AMD’s Zen 3 X3D chip and Intel’s Alder Lake mid-range. The Ryzen 7 5700X3D is an 8-core, 16-thread chip on the older AM4 platform, but with one major advantage — 96MB of L3 cache stacked via AMD’s 3D V-Cache technology,…
The i7-12700K is Intel’s 2021 Alder Lake flagship — hybrid, 12 cores, 20 threads. The Ryzen 7 7700 is AMD’s 2023 Zen 4 mainstream chip — 8 cores, 16 threads, AM5. One is older with more threads; the other is newer with a future. Short version: The 12700K is the better used deal, especially for…
CPU Battle #28 — Ryzen 7 5800X vs Core i5 13500 These two chips come from different eras and different platforms but often land in the same price bracket, especially on the used market. The Ryzen 7 5800X is AMD’s Zen 3 eight-core from 2020, the last great AM4 part. The Core i5-13500 is Intel’s…
